The Benjamin Botwinick Prize in Business Ethics recognizes an outstanding individual or representative of a business organization who exhibits the highest standard of professional and ethical conduct.

CHARLOTTE, NC – Michael J. Hershman, chairman of the board for ImagineSoftware, a leading provider of medical billing solutions, was recently honored with the prestigious Benjamin Botwinick Prize in Business Ethics.

The Benjamin Botwinick Prize in Business Ethics recognizes an outstanding individual or representative of a business organization who exhibits the highest standard of professional and ethical conduct.  Each year, the Botwinick Prize recipient delivers an acceptance speech to Columbia Business School students, faculty, alumni and staff, highlighting ethical issues that have arisen during the current recipient’s career and life experiences, including lessons in ethics and corporate governance from recent corporate scandals, principles of values-based leadership with employees and communities, building reputation with authenticity, operating in developing countries, sustainable business practices to improve the environment, the role for business in tackling climate change and establishing codes of conduct to deal with bribery and corruption.

Prior to founding the Fairfax Group, he served as Deputy Auditor General for the Foreign Assistance Program of the U.S. Agency for International Development (AID) and was awarded the Superior Honor Medal for his service.  Hershman has served Interpol as a member of the International Group of Experts on Corruption and sat on the board of the International Anti-Corruption Conference Committee.  He is a member of the board of directors of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation and a member of the board of directors and the executive committee of the Center for International Private Enterprise.
